Clemson’s offensive depth chart takes a significant hit ahead of its clash with Syracuse, as starting wide receiver Tyler Brown is listed as questionable on the initial injury report. The Greenville native, who serves as the Tigers’ primary slot receiver, has hauled in 36 catches for 322 yards this season. If Brown sits out, Clemson will be without four offensive starters, severely limiting the play-calling flexibility for head coach Dabo Swinney in a critical ACC matchup.
Tigers face decimated offensive line and WR room as Orange QB situation remains chaotic
The Tigers’ offensive line is already decimated, with center Harris Sewell (ankle), left guard Elyjah Thurmon (concussion), and running back Gideon Davidson (ankle) officially ruled out for the game. Compounding the personnel issues, backup wide receiver Gordon Sellars III remains questionable due to a concussion that has kept him sidelined for the last two contests. With the starting unit potentially gutted, Clemson must rely on its remaining depth to maintain its 5-3 record against a Syracuse squad that is struggling at 4-4.
Syracuse’s quarterback room presents its own set of uncertainties, with three signal-callers appearing on the injury report. While Amari Odom is out for the season with a shoulder injury, backups Malachi Nelson and Steve Angeli are listed as doubtful and questionable, respectively. The Orange (2-4 in the ACC) will look to exploit Clemson’s depleted offensive front, but their own inconsistent passing game may limit their ability to capitalize on the Tigers’ defensive pressure. The game kicks off at noon ET on Nov. 7 on ESPN2.
