Zakiya Johnson delivered a historic performance on Monday night, scoring a career-high 33 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to lead No. 9 LSU to a 129-35 rout of Southeastern Louisiana. The Tigers opened the contest with an aggressive offensive surge, scoring the first 18 points to establish dominance that never wavered. Johnson’s efficiency was remarkable, as she went 14-for-19 from the field in just 29 minutes, including 18 of her points in the second half to cement the blowout.

LSU’s victory stands as the largest in program history, eclipsing an 89-point win over McNeese State in 2023 and a 115-26 victory over the Lady Lions last season. Senior guard Milaysia Fulwiley made her second career start, contributing 20 points and six assists, while Mikaylah Williams added 19 points. The Tigers’ depth was on full display as three players—sophomore center Grace Knox, freshman Lola Lampley, and Anna Minaeva—each scored 14 points, with Minaeva also pulling down 10 rebounds.

The defensive intensity was equally stifling, as LSU’s quickness and athleticism forced Southeastern Louisiana into 38 turnovers and limited them to just 27.8% shooting. The Tigers extended their lead with four separate runs of 10 points or more in the first half, capping an 18-0 run in the final six minutes of the second quarter. Lampley’s two free throws with 18.7 seconds remaining in the half sealed a 69-9 lead, setting the stage for one of the most lopsided victories in LSU basketball history.
