Fantasy football managers face a significant logistical hurdle this week as the NFL schedule brings a heavy slate of bye weeks for the 49ers, Giants, Saints, and Texans. This absence creates a vacuum in the kicker market, forcing owners to pivot from their usual starters to reliable streamers. The most notable loss is Ka’imi Fairbairn of the Texans, who has established himself as one of the league’s premier fantasy options due to his high volume of attempts and favorable scoring environment. With Fairbairn and other high-value kickers sitting out, the value of secondary options spikes, making Week 8 a critical test for roster flexibility and waiver wire management.
