Season 3 kicks off Jan 8 as the 3-on-3 league reshuffles talent for a new championship run.
The 2027 schedule features an 8-week regular season where each team plays 14 games, facing every opponent twice. This compact structure ensures no team can coast on momentum, as the rapid pace of 3-on-3 basketball amplifies individual skill and tactical execution. Midway through the season, the league will host a standalone 1-on-1 tournament with its own prize pool, adding another layer of competitive intensity and showcasing the individual prowess of the league’s elite athletes.
Last year’s champions, Mist BC, featured a stacked lineup including Breanna Stewart and Arike Ogunbowale, but the 2027 draft has scattered those pieces across the league. Notable rosters now include Jackie Young, Gabby Williams, and Marine Johannès, ensuring a balanced distribution of star power. As the league continues to grow, these new combinations promise to redefine the competitive landscape, with every team possessing the depth to challenge for the title in this fast-evolving women’s basketball format.
