Formula 1 enthusiasts in Malaysia can now access Free Practice 2 (FP2) for the 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at no cost, following a strategic partnership between Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and beIN Sports. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim officially announced the live broadcast arrangement on social media, ensuring that local fans do not miss the critical second practice session. This move democratizes access to top-tier motorsport content, allowing viewers to track driver performance and track evolution without a mandatory subscription fee.
Key Match Highlights & Tactical Analysis
The primary viewing platform for the free broadcast is the RTMKlik app and website, which will stream the session live. Simultaneously, the event will be available on terrestrial television channels TV Okey (Astro Channel 146) and MYTV (Channel 10). For subscribers seeking higher production values or multi-camera angles, the session remains accessible via beIN Sports on Astro, Astro Go, Sooka, and Unifi TV, provided the viewer holds the relevant TV pack or bundle.
This comprehensive distribution strategy ensures maximum reach for the F1 weekend, with beIN Sports Connect also offering the feed to its dedicated streaming platform. As teams finalize their setups ahead of qualifying, fans should prepare to analyze lap times and tire degradation strategies during FP2. The collaboration between RTM and beIN Sports sets a new standard for free-to-air motorsport coverage in the region, making the 2026 season’s opening weekend in Malaysia a pivotal moment for local F1 engagement.
