Team White established an insurmountable advantage during the fourth episode of the Internet Invitational, leading Team Green 6-2 after the front-nine two-man scramble format at Buffalo Ridge. The Barstool-selected squad delivered a devastating performance, winning five of the seven opening matches and halving two others, while Team Green managed a single victory. This early dominance validated pre-tournament chatter that Team White possessed the strongest draft class, setting the stage for a critical back-nine showdown where 16 golfers will be eliminated.
Team White dominates front nine, securing 6-2 lead before decisive singles play
The day’s defining moment belonged to Bobby Ray, who staged a remarkable turnaround in both game and demeanor to secure the first match win of the day by a margin of 3&2. Ray’s precision off the tee, driving or nearly driving multiple greens, proved decisive in the White team’s early surge. The momentum continued on the par-three ninth hole, where Ray and The Duke converted a birdie putt to earn a $25,000 bonus each, a celebration punctuated by The Duke’s signature dance moves on the green.
Heading into the afternoon, the stakes escalated with 16 points up for grabs in 1v1 singles match play on the back nine. With pairings selected by Barstool’s Big Cat and Dave Portnoy, the competition intensified as Team White extended its lead across the 14 active matches. As the final holes played out, the White team’s consistent execution sealed their dominance, leaving Team Green with little hope of recovery in a day that highlighted the gap in talent and execution between the two squads.
