The 2026-27 NBA season marks a pivotal shift for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who enter the campaign with legitimate championship aspirations following back-to-back 50-win seasons under head coach Kenny Atkinson. The franchise’s trajectory accelerated significantly after the blockbuster 2026 trade deadline acquisition of James Harden from the LA Clippers, a move that sent Darius Garland to Los Angeles. With Harden now re-signed on a three-year, $97 million deal, the Cavaliers possess a high-octane backcourt capable of dictating pace and exploiting mismatches. Fans eager to witness this new era can stream all nationally televised Cavaliers matchups, including this fixture against the Atlanta Hawks, directly through Fubo, which carries ESPN, ABC, and NBA TV without requiring a traditional cable subscription.
Harden-Mitchell Duo Targets Title as Cavs Host Hawks at Rocket Arena
At the heart of Cleveland’s offensive engine remains Donovan Mitchell, the franchise cornerstone who recently secured a four-year, $274 million extension to cement his status as the team’s long-term leader. Entering his prime at age 29, Mitchell earned All-NBA Second Team honors and finished seventh in MVP voting last season, establishing himself as the go-to option in crunch time. His dynamic scoring ability pairs seamlessly with Harden’s elite playmaking, as the veteran guard averaged 20.5 points and 7.7 assists after the All-Star break in the previous campaign. This synergy allows the Cavaliers to run sophisticated pick-and-roll actions that stretch defenses, creating high-percentage looks for both stars while opening up perimeter opportunities for supporting cast members.
For viewers seeking a seamless way to follow the Hawks-Cavaliers matchup, Fubo offers a comprehensive solution by bundling the national networks that broadcast the majority of NBA games. This service ensures fans do not miss key nationally televised moments throughout the 2026-27 season, providing a reliable platform for live streaming without the complexity of managing multiple standalone sports subscriptions.
