Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams suffered an apparent left knee injury during the final minutes of Sunday’s 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. On the Rams’ last possession, Adams suddenly pulled up and began hopping in the back of the end zone, clutching his left knee as the play continued. He limped to the sideline and did not return to the game, leaving the team without its top offensive weapon in a critical moment.
Rams’ star WR exits in final drive as Arizona seals 18-16 win with last-second field goal
The injury occurred on a drive that ultimately resulted in a touchdown, as quarterback Matthew Stafford connected with tight end Colby Parkinson for a six-yard score. However, the Rams could not prevent Arizona from mounting a final drive with just 47 seconds remaining. The Cardinals were aided by an unnecessary roughness penalty on Josh Wallace, allowing them to set up a game-winning 43-yard field goal from Chad Ryland as time expired.
Adams finished the contest with three receptions for 39 yards on four targets. He enters this injury with 441 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 27 catches this season, his second year with Los Angeles. The setback arrives during a difficult stretch for a roster that entered the campaign as a Super Bowl favorite, raising concerns about the Rams’ offensive depth and upcoming schedule.
