The Weekend Winners panel, comprising Kate Tracey, Callum Helliwell, and Sam Boswell, has identified a compelling betting angle for the flat racing season finale at Doncaster. The discussion centers on the feature November Handicap, where Tracey and Helliwell have converged on a single selection: Nobody Knows. This horse is set to be ridden by Ryan Moore for trainer Richard Hughes, a combination that immediately signals a serious contender in the eyes of the experts.
Panel splits on flat season closer as top jockey pairing sparks betting interest
Tracey highlighted the strategic value of the Moore-Hughes pairing, noting that while the horse is the favorite, the risk is mitigated by the quality of the connections. “As soon as you see Ryan Moore booked for Richard Hughes, in the Mulryan silks, you must think ‘this is interesting’,” Tracey explained. She pointed to the horse’s efficient record of four starts with two victories, alongside earlier Classic entries, as evidence of underlying potential. Although the horse showed a high head carriage and plateaued in its previous outing at York, Tracey argued that this was merely a fitness issue following a six-month absence.
Conversely, Helliwell offered a contrarian view, stating his desire to see the favorite beaten. He identified Miss Dolly Rocker, the previous year’s runner-up, as his preferred alternative, citing her strong performance in last year’s edition of the race. This tactical disagreement underscores the uncertainty surrounding the Doncaster feature, inviting punters to weigh the proven class of the Moore-Hughes partnership against the form of the seasoned challenger.
