Joe Burrow has cemented his status as the premier fantasy quarterback, delivering a historic performance against the Tennessee Titans that solidified his place at the top of the Week 9 rankings. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback threw for five touchdowns and scored the game-winning 9-yard run in overtime, extending his recent surge to 13 total touchdown passes over the last three weeks. This explosive output reinforces the strategic imperative for fantasy managers to avoid streaming opponents against Burrow, as his dual-threat capability and high-volume passing game consistently outpace defensive limitations.
Bengals star dominates Madrid showdown as Falcons defense crumbles in Week 9
The matchup in Madrid presents a significant opportunity for Burrow to maintain his red-hot streak, despite facing an Atlanta Falcons defense that struggled immensely in Week 8. Although the Falcons managed to hold opponents to zero pass completions in their previous outing, that statistic is an outlier that does not reflect their overall defensive reliability. Fantasy analysts expect Burrow to exploit this vulnerable secondary, making him the safest and highest-ceiling start for the week. His ability to generate value through both passing and rushing yards makes him an indispensable asset in any lineup.
For managers looking to optimize their Week 9 slate, Burrow remains the clear QB1, but the article also highlights key streamers and alternative starts for those seeking value plays. While the focus remains on the Bengals’ star, the broader rankings provide a comprehensive guide for navigating the week’s matchups. By prioritizing Burrow and carefully selecting streamers based on favorable defensive matchups, fantasy owners can maximize their points and secure a competitive edge in their leagues.
