The segment’s comedic peak arrived when SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan, portraying his “Drunk Uncle” character, turned to Yelich for a zinger. Moynihan quipped, “Hey, I know you. You’re Pete Davidson, right?” The joke played on the physical resemblance between the Brewers star and the former SNL cast member, eliciting laughter from the live studio audience. The interaction showcased the team’s comfort with humor and their ability to engage with pop culture moments.
The Brewers’ official social media channels amplified the moment by sharing behind-the-scenes photos from the SNL studio. These images captured Yelich, Murphy, and Turang alongside Moynihan, Che, and Jost, solidifying the appearance as a memorable cultural crossover. The event not only highlighted the team’s celebratory spirit but also generated significant online engagement, reinforcing the strong connection between the franchise and its fanbase following their title run.
