Alpha Prime Racing has officially secured Ryan Ellis for the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, announcing a multi-year agreement on October 15. This strategic move reunites Ellis with the organization that helped launch his full-time career, marking a return after he spent the 2025 and 2026 seasons competing with DGM Racing and Young’s Motorsports, respectively. Ellis had previously driven for Alpha Prime from 2022 to 2024, evolving from a part-time entry to a full-time competitor in the team’s No. 43 car.
The veteran driver returns to the No. 43 program as the team transitions to Ford power.
The reunion coincides with a major technical overhaul for Alpha Prime Racing, which will switch to Ford Mustangs powered by Roush Yates Engines in 2027. This transition aims to leverage the manufacturer’s strength in the series while providing Ellis with a familiar competitive environment. Additionally, Tablo TV will continue its partnership with Ellis, serving as a primary sponsor for at least 10 races next season, ensuring the driver retains significant commercial backing during his return.
Team founder Tommy Joe Martins emphasized the trust and relationship built during their previous three seasons together, welcoming Ellis back to the fold. Ellis expressed excitement about returning to the organization that established his full-time NASCAR trajectory, signaling a renewed focus on championship contention. This move stabilizes the driver lineup for Alpha Prime Racing as it prepares for the new Ford era, setting the stage for a competitive 2027 campaign.
