The New York Knicks host the Chicago Bulls on Friday night with a historic milestone within reach, aiming to secure their 50th victory of the NBA season. Head coach Mike Brown’s squad has already defeated Chicago twice this year and is targeting a third straight win to cement their dominance in this age-old rivalry. While the Bulls have long accepted their playoff absence, this matchup offers Chicago a chance to climb above Milwaukee for third place in the Central Division, though their current five-game losing streak suggests a difficult path forward.
Knicks seek historic 50th win at MSG as Brunson’s status looms over rivalry clash
Statistical trends heavily favor the home side, as the Knicks possess one of the league’s strongest home records at 27-9 at Madison Square Garden. Conversely, the Bulls are struggling significantly on the road, holding a dismal 11-26 away record. The atmosphere at MSG will be electric, with New York having not lost a home game in a month. Chicago’s recent history at the venue is equally grim, having won just one of their last five visits, making the odds look steep for Billy Donovan’s visitors.
Injury reports add a layer of uncertainty to the contest, with star guard Jalen Brunson listed as day-to-day due to an ankle injury. His availability will be crucial for New York’s offensive rhythm, while Mitchell Robinson and Miles McBride also remain questionable. Fans looking to follow the action can access live streams through official NBA League Pass or local broadcast partners, ensuring they do not miss this pivotal clash between a contender chasing history and a team fighting for divisional pride.
